Key Findings
Methodology
On we asked 3 AI assistants (ChatGPT, Google Gemini and Perplexity) the kind of questions a real patient would type when looking for a dentist in twet.

We recorded which practices each assistant named, and in what order — then scored undefined practices on 8 weighted signals behind those answers.
Practices were scored by their position across the 15 questions below:
Note
Scores reflect only how visible a practice was to these AI tools on the test date, they are not a measure of clinical quality or competence, and they are neither an endorsement nor a criticism of any practice.

About this study
The Dental AI Visibility Index measures one thing only: how visible local dental practices were to consumer AI assistants on a specific date. It is a directional snapshot of digital visibility — not a definitive ranking.
It is not an assessment of clinical quality, safety, value, hygiene, patient outcomes, or the competence of any practice or clinician. Being named — or not named — by an AI assistant says nothing about the standard of care a practice provides. Nothing here is an endorsement, recommendation, or criticism of any named practice.
AI assistants are non-deterministic and personalised: their answers vary by day, user, location, device, and model version. If you run the same prompts yourself, you may get different results — which is why the analysis weights the underlying signals (the dimension score) more heavily than any single day's output.
How to read the results
The findings reflect prompts run live in a real web browser. They capture a moment in time and will change as practices update their websites, as reviews accumulate, and as the assistants themselves evolve. Treat scores and positions as indicative, not absolute.
Data and corrections
Information was gathered from publicly available sources, including the AI assistants' own answers, practice websites, and public directories. Errors are possible. If you are a practice owner and believe something here is inaccurate or out of date, contact us and we will review and correct it.
